Thanks for asking about this prop. A number of years back I did a haunted garage for the neighborhood since we have a very large garage.
We partitioned it off into six separate scenes and without doubt the mad scientist radiation room was always the favorite, especially with the kids. The back wall was painted with black light paint so the entire area glowed under black light. The scene was designed to represent a popular Halloween prop with a different twist.
We have all seen the very expensive vomit barrel prop. This scene was designed to produce the same effect but the focus of the scene was on a science experiment that had gone terribly wrong with the scientist having been exposed to massive amounts of radiation and everything in the room impacted as well. So we set the scenes with desks, lab journals on the desk, test tubes, beakers, etc.We also added a number of oversized bugs that grew to immense proportions as a result of radiation exposure. Everything was designed to show an experiment gone wrong. The feature piece was the scientist himself. I wanted the prop to reflect radiation exposure.
The prop was custom made with hands and head painted in glow in the dark finish to reflect a bubbling or melting effect. I wanted the head to resemble a troll doll so that the hair is a green mess which also glows in the dark as well. Lab suit was sprayed to reflect vomit stains and exposure as well. The scientist was triggered by a timer to spew glow in the dark vomit into a barrel as the people passed by him.
The bucket in the picture is not the bucket we used. We got a yellow bucket and sprayed that as well with glow in the dark paint. A timer and garden water pump is included so that your prop is fully functional. Just set the motion timer to activate as people pass by and the pump will cycle water through the hose so that the scientist vomits through his mouth into the bucket.
A custom made one of a kind prop. Vomit Barrell - I will make another custom barrel that glows in the dark.
If you want to top it off, please see the bubbling test tube Gemmy prop in another listing. I had the test tubes on a shelf in the lab scene. You make the vomit glow simply by cracking highlighters so that the material mixes with water to create a glow in the dark vomit. I want you to be happy to see this prop in action before you take it out the door. You and your haunted visitors will love this prop!
Please ask me any questions you might have! Add vomiting sound to complete and make this a show stopper!
